Plot
Edit
Inside the ONC prison, Seal is seen being tortured by Winters in his personal quarters for information regarding the location of the Guardian base. Winters even goes as far as attempting to make a deal with Seal, stating that if he confesses, he will not harm Nash, Dax, or Jason. He then tries to guilt Seal into confessing by bringing up McGrath, though Seal spots his ploy and doesn't give in. Angered, Winters continues to torture Seal, even using the Life Saver to further weaken him. Just then, Captain Johnson enters Winters' quarters and informs him that he and his men have captured the Sandbox Reds and Blues. He also states that the soldiers killed Haku, the Guy in White, who Winters personally hired to find and kill Seal. Brigadier Bernard then realizes that the captured skirmish soldiers came from Sandbox, like Dax and Jason, and asks Winters if he can interrogate them. Winters allows it.
In the cell area, Nash, Dax, and Jason make a plan to escape, but stop when three ONC soldiers pass by. After the three leave, the Guardians form a huddle again. Nearby, the Reds complain over their recent arrest, when Bernard and his man approach them. Bernard explains Haku's importance to them and scolds the three Reds for killing him, though the Reds argue that they were only defending themselves. When Bernard asks them if they've seen the alien Haku was tracking, Gates states that the Blues mentioned something about "the alien's secret weapon," prompting Bernard to go interrogate them. When Bernard sees the plasma pistol holstered on Legend's thigh, he asks the latter to fire it at him, believing it to be the Life Saver. Legend is hesitant at first, but fires at Bernard, though the blast is deflected by the cell's energy shield.
This shocks Johnson, who believed that Legend emptied out his pistol back at Sandbox. As a result, Bernard puts together that Seal split the Life Saver's energy and implanted them into two plasma pistols, one of which Legend possesses. Because of this, Bernard states that both teams will have their employment with the ONC terminated and will be scheduled for execution, horrifying the skirmish soldiers.
